This guide will help you unlock all 15 achievements in Yarimono. It’s spoiler-free and provides only the essential steps to get each achievement. While most achievements are earned through story progression, there are 2 missable ones: “Cheat? No, Thank You~” and “Defeat Leo.” The other 13 can either be unlocked automatically or at any time during the game.
Start of the Journey
Unlocks at the beginning of the game after obtaining the Yarimon Encyclopedia.
Cheat? No, Thank You~
To earn this achievement, you need to complete the story, capture all 151 Yarimon, and defeat the Champion in the post-game, all while using Cheat Tackle only once. The only time you’re allowed to use it is in the first battle with Hikari, where it’s mandatory. A counter on the screen tracks your Cheat Tackle usage—if it exceeds 1, you’ll know you’ve messed up.
Once Chikepu learns her fifth move, you can remove Cheat Tackle to avoid accidental use. In the final boss battle, Wings to the Future becomes available, but I suggest not using it to be safe. After completing the story, the Yarimon Encyclopedia, and defeating the Champion, enter the special building in Big City. Speak with the purple-haired girl and select the correct dialogue to unlock the achievement.
Defeat Leo
To get this achievement, you must win the first fight with Leo in Big City without using Cheat Tackle. If you don’t want to attempt it immediately, you can lose the fight and still go for the Cheat? No, Thank You~ achievement. This fight happens early in the game, so restarting on a new file to reach this point is easy. If you do this, stock up on revive items to cheese the fight.
Here’s a strategy to win without using Cheat Tackle, though it’s RNG-dependent:
- Catch a Candlinger and a Messa. Candlinger can be found on the first route, and Messa is in the forest area above that. Take the right path through the trees and find Messa in the grass.
- Defeat all available trainers before the Leo fight to level up and earn money (around level 12-15 should work). You can use Cheat Tackle on the other trainers if you’re on a new file.
- Buy Energy Mushrooms (revive items) from the lab with all your money.
- Save in front of Leo in Big City and begin the fight.
- Leo’s first two Yarimon are manageable, but his third, Lioroar, is overleveled. Use Candlinger and Messa’s passive abilities (Blaze and Curse) to apply status effects on Lioroar, which cause damage each turn.
- Keep reviving your team with Energy Mushrooms until Blaze and Curse whittle Lioroar down. If you run out of Mushrooms, reload and try again.
Once you defeat Leo, the achievement will unlock.

Star Trainer
Defeat a Star Trainer. These special trainers have a star symbol above their head. You won’t be strong enough to take them on until later in the game, around level 70. Defeating one will unlock the achievement.
Delivery Witch
Use the witch’s delivery service for fast travel. To unlock this, you must defeat the witch in battle. She has one overleveled Yarimon, so either cheese the fight like with Leo or wait until you’re strong enough. Once you fast travel for the first time, the achievement will unlock.
Master of Tips
Interact with all 10 Jizo statues scattered throughout the game. These statues are not hidden, and you’ll find them naturally as you progress. Once you’ve interacted with all of them, the achievement will unlock.
Contacts are Important
Progress through the story.
Wings to the Future
Finish the story. You might feel unexpectedly emotional—don’t be surprised!
Champion
Defeat Champion Athena in the post-game. You’ll find her in Central, waiting at the final tournament venue. After you defeat her and watch the credits again, the achievement will unlock.
Researcher D’s Note
In the post-game, return to the big cave where you first met Quem and Vise. A new room will be accessible. Inside, interact with the briefcase and read all 17 of the research notes. Once you’ve read them all, the achievement will unlock.
Gotta Catch’em All!
Catch all 151 Yarimon to complete the Yarimon Encyclopedia. Most Yarimon can be caught in the wild, but some will require evolution. To speed things up, try to catch every Yarimon you encounter during your playthrough. By the end, you should only have a few left to find. The encyclopedia will provide information on where to find the remaining Yarimon. After catching them all, go to the developer’s building in Big City, speak to the purple-haired girl, and select the right dialogue option to unlock the achievement.
Back to Back to Back
Complete all 69 battles in the End Content Tour. After the main game, head to Central. To the right of the front desk, Hikari’s mom will lead you to a shop that connects to a battle facility. Here, you’ll face 23 trainers in a row, three times, for a total of 69 battles. You can’t use Chikepu in these battles, so choose a team of three and prepare for a long session. Don’t worry about losing—you’ll restart from the trainer you lost to. Once you beat all 69 trainers, the achievement will unlock.
That’s it! Follow these steps, and you’ll earn all the achievements in Yarimono. Good luck!
